After a successful\u00a0 <\/span>30th<\/sup> Anniversary year, the Cape Ann Artisans<\/a> welcomed three new members to its group for the 2014 Tour, while three veteran members will take a sabbatical.\u00a0\u00a0 <\/span>The three new members are Camilla MacFadyen, a Fiber artist working in seaweed prints; Ruth Worrall, ceramic artist; and Pat Lowery Collins a painter working in oils and pastels. <\/span><\/p>\n

\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

The studio tour is self-guided and follows the coastline around Gloucester and Rockport.\u00a0 <\/span>For two days in June and three days in October, all the studios are open to the public from 10 am \u2013 5 pm.\u00a0\u00a0 <\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

In 2013, the Cape Ann Artisans combined tours saw over 3000 visitors that purchased over $62K worth of hand-made, one-of-a-kind goods created in a multitude of media and art forms \u2013 ranging from wearable and functional art to visual.\u00a0 <\/span>These include – Batik, Block Printing, Fiber Arts, Glass, Jewelry, Sea Glass; Stained Glass, Mosaic, Painting (Watercolor, Oil, and Acrylics), Mixed-media, Print-making, Photography; Pottery, Sculpture \u2013 (Metal, Stone, and Clay). \u00a0<\/span>A full list of Artisans is available on the website<\/a>. <\/span><\/p>\n

\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Over the years, people have come from across the country and around the corner to enjoy visits to these intimate locations across Cape Ann. \u00a0<\/span>Cape Ann Magazine\u2019s recent article entitled Atelier Adventure, now available on the CAA<\/span><\/a><\/i> website, gives an insider\u2019s view of the tour.\u00a0 <\/span>A typical tour visitor will see at least a half-dozen studios in one day.\u00a0 <\/span>Recent visitors captured the spirit of the tour with this feedback: <\/span><\/p>\n
