About Pat Lowery Collins

A poet and painter, I'm also the author of many award-winning books for children and young adults and occasional poems and essays in periodicals. I was born, raised and educated in Southern California, and have spent most of my adult life in New England where my late husband and I raised five children and where I served on the creative writing faculty of Lesley University's MFA low res program as well as the fine arts faculty of the Worcester Art Museum. I now live and work in Rockport, MA . My paintings are in private and public collections, The Cape Ann Museum, and presently at the medical bldg. of Brandeis University.
