The 2015 seARTS Fall Benefit will take place on Sunday, September 27th at Cruiseport Gloucester – a luxurious, waterfront venue at the entry to Gloucester’s Harbortown Cultural District.
Cape Ann and Gloucester are the home to four State-sponsored Cultural Districts and a vibrant arts & cultural community!
We invite you to showcase your talent to a crowd that is passionate in their support for the arts and the cultural community as a whole. This show is run by the seARTS Wearable Arts group, and community member volunteers.
seARTS invites all artists to submit ideas for a sculptural or non-functional wearable art piece/s (up to two will be accepted) to be modeled in the runway portion of the CWAIII event September 27th, 2015. The event kicks off at 1PM with an exhibit and sale and the RUNWAY portion begins at 2:45PM.
Of particular interest will be clothing/fiber work and unusual accessories – hats, belts, bags and shoes – but other pieces are welcome for review. If you have a piece from a recent Wearable Art Show, you are welcome to submit it for review. The curatorial committee will review the submitted descriptions for creative use of materials, fit among the existing work in the show, and ability to be seen on the runway.
To find out more about the previous show and see work by local artists who were in the show, check out Cape Ann Magazine’s article and the photo gallery on seARTS Celebrate Wearable Art section of the website.
