The 2011 show included many artists joining for the first time. Fran Osten, who works out of Newton and Gloucester. Fran is a weaver who describes her work as “softly draping, one-of-a-kind shawls and scarves in swirls of color from hand-dyed natural and tencel fibers with a color palette and weaving patterns that reflect the colors of the sea and land on Cape Ann. “
Peggy Russell, who has completed her second year running Pop Gallery on Main Street, will showcase her Iro designs – “one of a kind, hand-painted accessories for the home and body, and colorful separates, unique and easy to wear for dress up or casual comfort! “
Ten Pound Studio, which recently evolved as a working group of silk painters, had its own table that includes the work of multiple artists: colorful scarves, ties, and other accessories. Other newcomers included Betsy Frost, known for her “fluid and sensual” work in sterling silver influenced by her time as a dancer; Heather Outlaw, Sara Wright, Mahri, Lynne Sausele, and Rachelauren Somers. Returning artists, many of whom are among the founding group, include: Marlene Cann, Jacqueline Ganim-DeFalco, Margaret Derby, Susan Kenna, Camilla MacFadyen, Candy Marshall, Marcia Settipani, Becky Williams, Beth Williams, and Judy Wright & Jan Weinshanker.
