Meet Our Speakers

Tony Sapienza, our panel’s moderator, new president of the Cape Ann Chamber of Commerce, and long-time seARTS Board Member, is an expert in PR, social media, marketing communications and online marketing. He has been writing press releases for the Cape Ann Plein Air Festival and Competition for many years. Tony is an experienced communications executive with a background in large marketing services, PR firms and other related businesses.

Gail McCarthy has been a journalist for The Eagle-Tribune for over 30 years and is a Staff Writer for the Gloucester Daily Times, which also covers adjacent towns in Essex County and is part of the North Shore newspaper chain that includes The Salem News. Gail is highly skilled and experienced in journalism, news writing and copy editing.

Kory Curcuru worked in Hollywood before founding The Bridge Cape Ann in 2012. Among The Bridge’s many activities are making promotional videos, relaying Cape Ann happenings, hosting live broadcasts, and teaching seminars on social media. Kory has produced over 8,000 videos and hosted hundreds of live broadcast events. He’s the host of The Local Life, a @1623Studios original series where he introduces the people & places that make Cape Ann so unique.

Coleen Huggins Hayback is a Business Owner at OnWord Media in the Washington, D.C. area, Marketing Director at The Quincy Group Inc., and Social Media Director at Cape Ann Plein Air. She brings a wealth of knowledge to the panel, e.g., about how to create and curate meaningful and relevant content, and how to grow visibility through interaction with your audience, along with many other topics.
